Today we’re releasing the beta version of the zero-carbon 2030 Carbon Rating Finder on Safari. It will allow you to pull down our Carbon Ratings directly into the search results on your laptop or desktop when using Safari, exactly like the Chrome version.

Armed with this information you can vote with your wallet to support the brands and businesses doing more for the planet. Our Carbon Rating Finder puts the information at your fingertips with our ratings appearing in traffic light system – red-amber-green – to indicate how a business is performing on climate change.

Here is a short guide to assist you in enabling the Carbon Rating finder on macOS Safari:


Download the extension from the link above or from the app store by searching ‘zero-carbon’ and then open it.

Click ‘Quit and Open Safari Extensions Preferences’.

Ensure the extension is enabled in the menu and that it is permitted to access Google.com (to detect companies that can be rated) and zero-carbon2030.org (to retrieve the ratings for these companies).

Validate the extension is working by checking whether the zero-carbon 2030 logo at the top of the browser is blue and then searching for a company we’ve rated such as McDonalds.
